Limassol, Cyprus – A new video has been released featuring young people from across Cyprus as they share their perspectives on radicalisation and violent radicalisation. Through personal reflections and lived experiences, the video highlights the subtle ways radicalisation can take shape, from online influence to social exclusion, and underscores the importance of early, community-based responses. The young participants also emphasise the critical role of non-formal education in promoting critical thinking, strengthening resilience, and creating safe spaces where difficult conversations can take place.

This initiative was carried out under the project RadicalGame. RadicalGame is an interactive, role-based card game designed to equip young people with the skills they need to navigate complex societal challenges, bridge divides, and contribute to positive change within their communities. In the game, players adopt different roles within fictional countries facing social, political, and cultural tensions, scenarios that mirror real-world issues. As they negotiate, problem-solve, and collaborate to overcome obstacles, players strengthen key competencies such as communication, leadership, and conflict resolution—skills that support constructive civic engagement in their day-to-day lives.

This initiative aims to amplify young people’s voices and encourage a more informed, resilient, and proactive approach to preventing radicalisation in Cyprus.
