The Politik-Her project was created to address persistent gender imbalances in political and civic participation across Europe. Throughout the project, we have worked directly with young people, facilitated structured dialogues, and equipped organisations with practical tools to transform how institutions approach gender equality in decision-making spaces.

Following extensive cross-country research, youth engagement, and multi-stakeholder dialogue in Italy, Sweden, Cyprus, and Romania, we are proud to announce the release of the project’s key deliverables. All resources are publicly available, fully accessible, and free to use.

The Deliverables

1. Handbook on Transformative Dialogue
A practical, step-by-step guide designed for youth workers and educators to facilitate inclusive physical or virtual dialogues among young people and stakeholders. The handbook also includes a collection of best practices in dialogue from Italy, Sweden, Cyprus, and Romania, providing concrete and tested approaches to strengthen participation.

2. Politik-Her Toolkit
A comprehensive presentation of the project’s methodology and lessons learned. The toolkit offers targeted recommendations for NGOs, civil society organisations, educational institutions, political organisations, and other stakeholders on how to promote more balanced gender representation in their structures and practices.

3. Politik-Her Policy Recommendations
Developed through a combined process of dialogue and research, these recommendations are structured around three thematic areas:

  • Gender and education

  • Gender, health and reproductive rights

  • Gender and climate change

They bring together country-specific insights and cross-cutting priorities, offering actionable guidance for policymakers and institutions committed to advancing gender equality.
