GAME-based pedagogies for Youth-Led Dialogue and Active Citizenship to prevent Discrimination and RADICALlization – RADICALGAME
RADICAL GAME is a project with a three-tier approach that (a) bridges policy, research and practice in the context of preventing youth radicalisation through a cross-sectoral and transnational collaboration, (b) develops engagement, participation, and critical thinking among youth using immersive experiences through game-based learning, and (c) implements a participatory action research methodology to democratize the co-creation of new knowledge related to civic engagement and prevention of radicalisation by grounding it in the needs of youth professionals and young people, as well as by actively involving them in design of project’s activities.
Objectives
RadicalGame aims to:
- Promote transnational and cross-sectoral collaborations in game-based learning for enhancing civic engagement and lowering the risk of radicalisation among youth.
- Increase links between research, policy and practice by bringing together policymakers, youth workers, PVE experts and youth for the co-creation of the project main results.
- Adopt a youth-led participatory approach through leadership to design, develop and implement their own ant radicalisation offline and online initiatives.
- Advance quality of youth work in the use of game-based learning to enhance active citizenship and prevent youth radicalisation.
